Born and raised in Nebraska, artist Eric Otte now calls Colorado home. He began his art training early attending numerous classes with his mother and grandmother, both painters.

Eric attended the University of Kansas on a voice scholarship majoring in art and art history. A beginning level ballet class led to the discovery of a talent and a love for dance. At the completion of his freshman year, Eric left school to become a dancer. While dancing professionally he attended the University of Nebraska earning a degree in Nursing.

Eric worked as a professional model in both New York and Paris and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology while working as an assistant to a well known fashion designer.

While pursuing his passion of painting, Eric has also achieved success on stage in the world of musical theater. After working for three years in the Broadway Company of The Phantom of the Opera Eric recently moved to the Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, which was awarded a Tony for its Choreography.

Eric currently is working out of his Boulder studio combining his unique painting style with the beauty of the Arabian horse, as well as portraits and abstract comissioned works.
